Inbetweening, colour| Lip synch

inbetweening: draw the lines between two similar drawings along a motion path or an arc. (*keeping the drawings accurate and on model, focus on volume)

tips:

  • don’t make your inbetweens too rough
  • start with essential points that link action elements (elbows, head, wrists etc.)
  • start with the easy bits
  • always check the movement consistency

2D but also 3D: awareness of 3 dimensional space. (think of a cube)

smear frames: used to give the illusion of a motion blur. Save time and fun to draw.

clean-up: consistency is important

tips on colour:

set up the colour palette before start>properties>create colour art from line art

tips on paint bucket: if line art not closed, click on the close gap and draw a line to close
